Case Study No. 608   Application: Pumps Industry: Steel, Aluminum, Glass & Plastic Issue: Pump bearings were being lubricated manually every month and the motor bearings every 3 months. Both under and over lubrication had led to a high rate of mechanical failures from abnormal vibration levels. Solution: Consistent and regular lubrication was achieved through the use of four 2-Point MEMOLUB lubrication systems. Two Model 480 systems serviced the pump bearings and two Model 240 systems serviced the motor bearings. Mechanical reliability increased as vibration levels decreased considerably. |
